With a handful of great professionals and the support of the Bosch Foundation and the Green European Foundation, we are building a community of practice for democratic citizenship educators in Europe. We’re presenting at the NECE Campus on the 19th!
Bringing together intercultural mediators, facilitators for active citizenship – we are organizing and will host the workshop in Lisbon with the aim of designing a future Community of Practice for those working on citizenship in Europe. On September 29th, we are presenting this ‘Education on Europe’s Community of Practice’ at the Campus of NECE – Networking European Citizenship Education – from 9am to 10.30am, register to attend the workshop online here.
4Change challenged GEF, the Foundation of the European Greens, to join forces and participants in designing what could be a community of practice for educators on the themes of democracy, fundamental rights and citizenship. The Bosch Foundation supported this initiative with a seed fund to germinate this community of practice that was born from the participants of the ‘Education on Europe’ program. The target audience is European citizens who do not participate in the democratic life of this great community of European countries – especially younger citizens but not only, in a search for bases to counter populism and disbelief and to encourage participation and the demand for a better Europe.
These are the values that guide us at 4Change and the real impact we want from our work – working for a global community. Ideas, good practices and inspirations are welcome for this participatory construction, send an e-mail to info@4change.org
