The pandemic has shown us the importance of ensuring our capacity to respond, adapt and make a real impact on social action – the immediate challenges of confined communities and people needed rapid action. A toolbox was launched as well as initial training made available to small organizations.
One of the biggest challenges for the 4Change team has always been to share resources, simplify and tailor solutions for small (and micro!) social organizations. In the Social Impact Management Toolbox for small organizations you’ll find tested and accessible metrics, depending on the needs of the organizations – social impact management for everyone!
In February, we invited small and medium-sized organizations and institutions in the areas where we operate (Ajuda – Vale de Alcântara – Lisbon) to stop working remotely for an hour and a half and come and share, think about or even learn what it means to evaluate social impact. That’s why it’s essential to recognize, know how to measure and show the social impact of civil society organizations and social action institutions, in order to ensure greater effectiveness and also sustainability vis-à-vis funders, as well as accountability to citizens in general.
Also in February, we had a discussion with the partners of the Bosch Foundation project, Făgăraș Research Institute e Cromo Foundation – and a perspective on the impact of the pandemic on European civil society was drawn up with Daniel Sorrosal from Crédal/ Febea. The big question is always: how can small organizations prove the impact of responding to the challenges of Covid-19?
