As part of the Lisbon City Council’s Mouraria Community Development Program (PDCM), which ran until 2015, 4Change implemented Ativa_te Mouraria: a program to support the creation of social businesses with a local impact.
The starting point was the mapping of endogenous skills in the neighborhood and the identification of social entrepreneurs. A second phase was a mentoring program that involved the selected entrepreneurs in a close and personal relationship, while the business began to make its way and generate social impact in the community. Among the businesses that received mentoring from 4Change are: Cozinha Popular da Mouraria, Garbags and BikePop.
