We’re still in the season of rentrées – now UrbEX is taking us to Berlin for the “UrbExplorers: The city as a learning space”the final conference of this Erasmus+ project, organized by partner and promoter Tesserae (Berlin).
On September 28 and 29, UrbEX invites you to a two-day exchange of discussion and sharing of practices and methodologies that illustrate the potential of urban exploration as an educational practice and community and civic involvement of young people, in the dynamics of thinking and disputing the agenda of the city and the territories where they live, play and study.
The conference “UrbExplorers: The city as a learning space” presents a free and multidisciplinary program, which includes presentations of experiences from all over Europe, workshops, walks and plenty of space for discussion and work, hosted in the Refugio space, in the center of Kreuzkölln, in Berlin – the 4Change team will be hosting a moment of sharing and debate based on the Local Labs held in Lisbonwith young people. Felipe Salazar, 4Change’s partner in mediating the process of building a new project, was among the many experts from the fields of sociocultural animation, urban studies and the social movement. websitefrom one of his homes – the Studio Venturas – with the sharing of the playful experience of territorial exploration “Cassandra”; and on the gamification of reality and the civic role of the media.
Initiating a dialogue between community development, academia, the social movement and the executive branch on the potential of neighborhoods as learning spaces, the UrBex project will lay the foundation stone in Berlin for building a network of institutions interested in creating spatial practices aimed at young people.
And do we stop there? False. UrbEX will return for one last tour of Lisbon, in Marvila, with a program dedicated to the area and its people, starting with the presentation of the ItinerAntes tool, developed as part of the project, and with the experimentation of Affective Walks, another methodology developed and tested by Felipe Salazar.
An espresso with new features will be arriving soon.
