Three panels: 1. Inclusive education: social inclusion of migrants; 2. Digital and media literacy: during the Covid-19 pandemic in Europe; 3. A coordinated Global Citizenship action: beyond good practices. The online conference will be animated with videos, campaigns and guests from Portugal, Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Slovenia.

In October, during the national conference, we were able to hold a morning of sharing, many films and applause for the work of the young people we have worked with over the last three years. Cristina Santinho (CRIA/ISCTE), a researcher and specialist in the field of migration and asylum, presented a perspective on the situation in Portugal and Europe – and the need to work more on this approach to global citizenship in education; an example was given by Joana Saraiva, a theater educator who works in partnership with the #clubespaulavicente / Escola EB 2+3 de Paula Vicente).

A view shared by the president of the Association of Refugees in Portugal Diaby Abdourahamame, who spoke of the difficulty of inclusion but also left a positive note on the training role and the calls for attention in schools and with the work of NGOs. The teachers present, such as Maria Manuel Passas from EB2,3 Bairro Pe Cruz, testified to the impact on young people from the various groups that took part in the project.

#EstamosJuntos is the campaign we will continue to run until the international conference in the second week of April.
