We are organizing the training “Using Behavior Analysis preventing and addressing racism in primary schools” for elementary school educators. The training is organized by by the Panteion University of Athens and takes place during the month of November – pre-registration open.

“Racist violence is a defense against the fear of the unknown” – we never tire of this phrase, which symbolizes the teachings of the behavioral analysis tools that Panteion University and the Erasmus+ project will bring, in partnership with 4Change and Oxfam Italy, to the professional educational community of elementary schools in Portugal and Italy.

There are 30 hours of training in a hybrid format – which takes place in English, online and offline – divided into 5 online sessions on 5 Tuesday afternoons in November – and complete with practical challenges for a total of 12 hours offline between sessions. A free course with a certificate of completion that can earn teacher credits (upon individual request) – limited enrollment per country.

The aims are to introduce elementary school teachers in Portugal and Italy to the root causes of racist behavior and to offer methods for preventing racism. Educators are encouraged to use this approach and tools with the school community, involving students and parents.

We are translating the materials and videos produced by Panteion University that will serve as tools for the training – launch soon and pre-register for the training at this link.
